Default Introducing Oscar...

I would like to introduce you all, to the latest addition to the melamaphine household, Oscar.

He's lovely, we're both already smitten. He has the happiest face and he's just so cuddly it's unreal. He was a bit nervous in the car and when he first came in, but his nervousness translated to wanting lots of cuddles and he soon got over it! He's definitely a snuggler, he's been rolling over for belly rubs at every opportunity.

Simba and Shabba are so far so good, Shabba loves him and they've been wrestling for a bit. Simba's not quite so sure, her nose is a little out of joint I think. She's had a little grumble/snap at him a couple of times when he's got too close, but they seem to have sorted it and she's calmed down now. I can't say I wasn't expecting any issues at all, so i'm not concerned as i'm confident it will pass quickly.

We just 'attempted' to walk them, but he was just far too excited, Simba was in a mood and didn't want to walk and Shabba got too hot, so we cut the walk short and now they're all sleeping quietly in various beds...peace!

Thank you both, we' re both really pleased with him and i'm sure we've made the right decision.

Simba has been like this with dogs before, she's done the same thing to Molly and Shabba and now they're fine together so i'm confident we'll get past it. He's very cuddly and tactile and she's not sure of him, so she doesn't want him all over 'her' people. We're trying to gently convince her it's ok, but she's a bit of an oddball and it'll take time.

it's nowhere near as bad as she is with Hooch.

He's just brilliant, i'm in love with him already. The staff at the centre were all sad to see him go, he's quite the character.

It's great to hear that things are going smoothly. They make a lovely group. Don't be surprised if Oscar gets a little more rambunctous day by day as he settles in and becomes completely familiar with his new surroundings.

Enjoy!

It's so nice when this happens and Oscar must be over the moon to have left the shelter to have a new permanant home with loving owners!
I don't think you are going to have any trouble with OScar. Perfect choice, perfect match for every one

Oh, look at that big schnoz, he's the cutest!

It sounds like the usual "settling in blues" (for all of them) are no worse than could have been expected.

It will all work out perfectly, I can feel it in me water. I can't wait to hear about his progress - a daily update, please!

How's his stench, have you smothered him in dry shampoo yet?
