Default Long Fur Stealing From Park :D

The hazards of owning dogs with long fur can lead to breaking the law. Parker and Ash stole from the local park while we were on a nice walk! I looked down to find quite a collection building up. Took some shots when I got home of their 'dirty work'.

Well, he WAS brushed out the other day... not anymore!

Close-up of the dirty deed!

Ash's Border Collie mudflaps. His coat didn't collect quite as much as Parker's.

He does look quite content with himself, doesn't he.

Ash enjoyed himself too...

They both got a quick comb out before we entered the house. It was a very nice woodsy hike around our local park, just me and the two knuckleheads. It was a good time to chat with some folks I ran into including a young girl who asked to pet the boys and remarked that they must be very hot on this warm sunny day (it's only lower 80's, and we were sticking to the shade). I smiled and explained about how their double coats kept them comfy and even had her stick her hand deep into Parker's black back fur where she found his undercoat and skin were cool to the touch. Her mother was also amazed by this, as they own a short furred dog. I also had to explain just how much brushing I do to upkeep this property on my boys.

It was a nice day... only thing that would have made the trip better is if my hubby had come. But he had to stay home and do his chore--clean the kitchen.

I'm adopting the term 'mudflaps'.... (if it's ok with you)

So appropriate!!

And yes, long haired dogs do tend to bring a lot of nature home with them don't they! Even a walk around the block here will have MacKenzie bringing home bits of pine branches and heaven help us if he steps off the road into the long grass and the brush.

The vacuum cleaner is my friend!

Mudflaps is a royalty-free term. Feel free to spread it as you wish as their butt fluffies do tend to function in such a manner. Gotta love it, form and function!

Awww, at least they have fun collecting goodies in their mudflaps! And of course they still look adorable.

I like the "mudflaps" too!
I guess Parker and Ash have something in common with Sophia - they love the great outdoors so much, they try to bring some back home with them.
