Default Chessie's spa day

Chessie has been in need of a bath.. but she is definitely not a fan of them. If I even mention the "b" word she runs and does everything possible to avoid it. Two weeks ago she also managed to sprain her right front paw and has been on restriction and medication, so I have been reluctant to get down to the business of giving her one. Next door to the vet center where she was seen for the sprain, there is a Wellness Center that does rehabilitation and also grooming so I stopped by and made an appointment for her to have a bath and her nails clipped. Surprisingly, they told me it would cost less for her to have their "spa" session (!?!). Well, today in the pouring rain I took her for her spa day. She got an oatmeal bath, her nails clipped, her ears cleaned, a little trim in "delicate" spots, a massage (!), and a bandana, lol. Even in the horrible rain she looked like a cute little poofball when I picked her up. Despite the fact that I don't think she would willingly sign herself up for a second appointment, I also got a terrific report on her good behavior (which I surely was not expecting!)

Sounds great! Maybe she enjoyed being spoiled. She does look happy there.

Awww, how beautiful is she?? Just look at that innocent face! Actually, I wouldn't mind one of those treatments myself. LOL

Are you sure she got a bath? Aren't those muddy paw prints I see all over the sofa. Just kidding, she looks great! Bet she feels great after her day at the spa too.

Greta has a mobile grooming appointment in the morning for a bath and brush; hope she comes out looking that content.

You know, that crossed my mind too..there was something wrong with her getting a massage while I was home mopping the floor waiting for her lol.

I think that look of contentment has more to do with eating her bone stuffed with chicken, lol. To be honest, I didn't see all that much of a difference in her other than her fur is really soft and she's a little trimmed up in places. She's usually much more of a 'wash and wear' dog but the savings to my back and knees was well worth the cost :-)
