Default Another squirrel chase

When I saw this big fat grey squirrel on the bird feeder on a nice sunny day BEFORE Zircon did, I knew I had a chance to get a good video. What a shame the batteries went dead towards the end! Anyway, it's a beautiful spring day, the birds are singing, and Zircon is defending the bird feeder with Sophia right behind him.

That makes me laugh, and I can relate to Zircon's vigilance. As the weather has gotten nicer, Chessie is wanting to spend more and more time on the deck where she sits like a sentinel watching for any squirrel or rabbit that dares to come into the yard and is off like a shot when she sees one. Thankfully, the squirrels are great at running along the tops of the fences and along the power lines and the rabbits are lightning fast :-)

Haha there is a family of rabbits that lives underneath our shed outside and whenever I see a rabbit before Brutus does I try and signal them to run for it and sometimes I swear they listen!

That's a great video. I love Zircon's little hop, skip & jump as he races towards the bushes.
