Default One of Parker's Sons!

This is Ryan, Parker's son (no, not mine... but Amy loves to tell me how his family is doing). Ryan got his Championship yesterday.

See the family resemblance? Here's Parker's pic:

LOL! Oh... I dunno, he slouches pretty good! He enjoyed the show dog role, but he seems to enjoy the house dog role a lot more!

But seriously, here he is running around with his nephew Corey and me at work. Yes, he does have the good genes of a solid line!

Wow, you can really see the family resemblance can't you! Very handsome boys.

The US line collies look so different to the European ones, it's really lovely to see them. I do really like the bigger, chunkier US lines - I bet Simba would look teeny tiny standing next to Parker. How tall is he at the shoulder Draco?

Rough Collies are such beautiful dogs. They have an elegance about them that catches my breath.

Parker's story is one of my favorites, I love the fact that he is still able to contribute his genes but have a loving home, I wish all retired show dogs could end up this way. I remember your first post about him, you weren't sure you were going to keep him at that point. I somehow have a feeling that it would be very hard for anyone to try and take him away from you now, lol.

Great pics, give Parker a hug from me.

You're right, Barbiespoodle! It would be very hard to give him up now, he's such a character. The main reason I hadn't been sure was because he had to gel with the previous members of the household... hubby was no problem, but explaining to the four pawed members wouldn't work. So we had to see if they accepted him. I wish more people taking dogs into their lives would do tentative test runs before giving a confirmed 'yes'. It may save a number of poor dogs rehoming.

Mel, Parker is 23inches at the shoulder and weighs roughly 50lbs (depending on how much coat he is carrying). Ash is 21inches at the shoulder, and Mya is 20inches, (if anyone is curious).
