Oh Gosh I would fear my dog breaking through it? I know it looks thick but I am told it always has thin places, be careful. Beautiful photos though. Very cold looking, it is cold here but no ice like that. Happy New Year.

Lovely pictures - typical scottish loch in the winter. Does your dog think its funny slippering around on the ice?

Wow it is very thick! It was like that here recently too, have you ever thrown little stones onto a frozen loch? They make really strange whistling noises as they slide. Did your dog thing it was odd that the water had turned solid?

Ben loves the ice he loves sliding about on it but he still isnt sure of the water he wants to go but just dips a paw in then runs away i hope he gets better and goes for a swim.

i love the sound that throwing a stone makes on ice
