Hi Here are some of my two boys as puppies and then some of them as they are now.



Pellow 6 weeks


Rye 8 weeks

The picture is of My Two Borzois Pellow and Rye I also had a Golden Oldie named Ludmilla who went to the Bridge on 14.03.07 and my special wee man Brodie who sadly went to the bridge on 22 August 2008 All loved and missed as are all the others who have gone before I still have little Faun my dachshund and last but by no means least Keri the Birman Cat.

Borzois are like chocolates one is never enough

I do , they have such an air about them. Probably easier to groom than mine LOL. and i've realsied they are higher off the ground too, so no muddy bellies.

Pretty Borzois you have! Y'know, when i came to this site, I didnt really have an interest in these dogs! But NOW if i see somthin bout them, i HAVE to see them! They are very pretty and thnx for sharin

To answer your question they are not a herding breed. They were originally bred to hunt wolves. In their Native Russia they rode with the Tsars and three of them brought down a wolf, they did not kill it merely held it till the hunters got to it somewolves were killed for their fur to make warm clothing but others were kept in the Tsars stables to be used to Train the young Borzoi. There is a short clip of them riding with the Tsars in the film War and Peace. Thanks for taking such an interest in the breed.
