Default Here's our First Puppy

Here is Brooklyn, She is a dogue de bordeaux Cross Staffy, Staffy being the mom.
She is just over 6 weeks old, she is very spoiled with our 3 boys.
Loads to do, she likes to wee and poo anywhere, and she is pining after her mom.
She was one of six and the owners needs to get rid of them quickly, as they were going away.
So there is a few left.

I hope she brings us loads of joy...

Arv

She looks adorable - she will pine for her mom at 6 weeks (its a bit early to leave her mum). Anyway - how's she sleeping? You might like to read the thread on puppies.

More pictures, please?

Yeah agreed its a bit too young, but she is now safe and well looked after.
She sleeps every couple of hours for around 10-15 mins, after a good run about, but her first nights sleep was not good, and we are paying for it today.

We have been told not to come down during the night because she is crying, and although its very hard we will try.

If you can don't come down in the night. You'll be glad in the long run. Bigboy put a ticking clock under his puppies bed as it mimics a mother's heartbeat. But you could also invest in a DAP diffuser

If you search you'll see that they mimic the pheromones of a lactating bitch.

lovely puppy

6 weeks is deffinotly to young and I beleave is against the law to sell a puppy under 8 weeks. But the main thing is she in a great home.

good luck with her.

Night two:
she was very restless & crying again, I did notice however the cry from the first night was a whine and howling combined, to last nights whine, so it seems to be getting better!

We just need to get the pee & poo thing sorted, my wife has far more patents in this department than I do.

Maybe a crate might help her out at night time, make her feel more secure alone.

Take her out side every hour for the toilet. Also take her outside when she gets up, after she has eaten and before she goes to bed. When she goes the toilet outside give her lots of praise. She will soon learn to go the toilet outside.
