Default Our Break Part 2 Dogs and other animals

Here are some of the boys by the fountain in the grounds of the hotel.

With their Dad

with their Mum

and the Llamas with their babies who alo live in the grounds

and last but by no means least. The Boys being such aristocrats, just had to introduce us to Lord Guisborough's Cat who spends a lot of tie on the steps at the front entrance to the hotel. No common or garden owner for their new friend the cat . Lord Guisborough lives in the Gatehouse and other buildings adjoining the ancestral home which is now a hotel. Welalso met his Golden Rertriever, but unfortunately I did not have the camera with me then.

Lots ore to follow when I get a chance to upload them, hope you are not sick of them by that time.

Eunice, they are lovely pictures. All that is missing is your Dr Zivago hat and fur coat! Seriously they look as if they are eyeing up the fountain. Do they swim much? When you said you were at penrith was that at the llama farm? One of my daughters lives just up the road from there.

What do you do about meals in hotels? We generally have room service as I wouldn't want to chance him barking (not that I think he would).

Thanks for the share.

Hi Carole No they are not interested in the water and don't swim.

My old Boy Sam loved the water, but Ludmilla and these two are as I say not interested,

We did not actually go to Penrith, The Llamas in the picture were in the grounds of the hotel. We did by-pass Penrith on several occasions when were were motoring in and around Carlisle and the Lakes ertc.

We eat in the Dining Room, and just to be on the safe side(tho'like you I don't think they would do any damage and they are not a barky breed,), but when we go for dinner we put the boys in the car , with the back up and the tail gate padlocked. They sleep in the room overnight and are in the room when we are there.

Thanks so much. You can't see the new collars for the long roughs at the neck, will try to get some pics soon, so you can see them.

They look right at home there. Those are lovely grounds. It must be quite an experience to stay at a place like that. And how wonderful that Rye and Pellow are also welcome there.

Hi Jean it was lovely and when we gott o our room there were two mats with doggy paw prints and a plastic dog bowl on each and a few chews which a really nice gesture on the hotels part.

We have stayed at quite a few hotels in this group where dogs are allowed, but this is the first time we have had this sort of welcome.
