Default Piccies of Me and My Awfully Norties

Just for you then, here is a piccie of their half sisters and brothers born a few weeks ago

wish I had more room at the innthey are even more stunning than my 2 were when they were babies. Just been out for a walk and had children literally hurling themselves at my 2 exclaiming about how soft and cuddly they are, little do they know that they are Monsters in disguise

Lovely, lovely pictures - I'm a junkie for puppy and doggie pictures. Are all your pups allocated a home? They would be so at home in the forests behind my house leading up from the River Spey.
I could just imagine then romping with my dog Jake.

thanks for the share.

they are not my puppies, they are from the same breeder I got my girlies off and it is the same father, I think 4 are reserved so far, they are 8 weeks today and I know they have been vet checked, micro chipped and eye tested clear. I think 2 go this weekend.

Here is Dad Redkite Anzarra @ Sulin

and here is Mum Deeside Totsie @ Sulin

O you poor dear innocents !! You know not what you say !! You WANT a utonagan?? Tawneywolf's two donkeys are not called The Norties for nothing you know !!

Joking apart, they are absolutely wonderful dogs ... of course they couldn't fail to be, having siberian husky and alaskan malamute in their make up. Just like these two breeds, they are a real HANDFUL, but supremely intelligent, very loyal and wonderful with children, other dogs, cats (their own), and smaller pets such as hamsters, gerbils etc (their own again!).

We took on Tai quite recently as a 5 year old rescue, and it is as if he has always lived with us. They really are a delightful breed, but you have to be quite robust and not care too much about an immaculate house, or a garden without the odd hole. They really do ideally need to be fed on raw meat, bones and veg, being northern breeds they tend to not do very well on kibble. Apart from that, they are wonderful !!

Hi Tawneywolf ! Great Uncle Tai sends his love back to his Norty Nieces !!

Must admit, had a little giggle myself
I always say to everyone who enquires about them to me, You need the strength of 10 men, nerves of steel, patience of a saint, and an account with the local builder or be good at diy yourself!!! They are certainly not for the faint hearted that is for sure. I think it is good practice if you are used to large intelligent breeds already, but they will run circles around a GSD for instance. A guy near me has their great nephew and he has always had GSD's and when I said this to him I could see him thinking 'yeah right...' However 13 months down the line he admitted to me a couple of months ago that I was exactly right, owning a GSD is good preparation but nothing, repeat nothing, can prepare you for the miniature hurricane that hits you when you bring your Ute pup home. After losing their Great Great Aunt Tawney I was fortunate enough to be able to get my 2 from Sulin who to my mind breed the best Utonagans, in fact it was they who gave them their name, and I was permanently knackered for about the first year. They are incredibly loving dogs but extremely hard work for the first 3 years really. I have the time to take them out and train virtually every day, they need constant mental stimulation as well as physical and people watch open mouthed as my 2 bounce past them teeth locked onto each others throat, or onto each others tail. No blood is ever shed, but it looks and sounds like they are killing each other. If after this warning from both myself and Bugle you STILL want a Utonagan then let me know!!!
Girlies send waggy tails to Great Uncle Tai and lots of slobbery kisses to Aunty Bugle

not rare as threatened or anything, but they are unusual. They were the inspiration of a lady whose dream was to breed a dog that looked like a wolf but behaved like a dog. They are very different to say the least. Another piccie maybe???

Here they are with Shaun Ellis, sorry it is so blurry, but they kept moving!!!
