Default Rat pictures

These are pics of my ratties with a description of their markings/colors/type. Enjoy!!

This is Topaz, she's a charcoal verigated split cap.

This is Itchy (black and white satin banded dumbo) and Moonpie (black hooded hairless) eating some babyfood.

This is Domino. She's a black verigated berkshire.

This is Chrissy. She's a hairless, not sure of her color.(or what it would have been had she been born with fur.)

I know this is off-topc, but I'll have more new pics of Sara up here soon.

I have found that rats' personalities are a LOT like a dog's. They get just as bonded to their humans as dogs do, can learn tricks, games, etc...and there's even such a thing as rattie Agility!! I just pamper my girls, though. Thanks for your comments

Awww great pics. You have cute rats! How are their temperaments. Have they ever bitten you? Does Sara get along with them? My older bro had rats. Only one was ever nice. She licked ppl, was so friendly.

Think my hate of them stems from having been invaded by them in the garden last year.

I have only been bitten by rats twice out of the few years I have kept them. The two that bit me were not my own rats, but rats I was looking at in a pet store. The employees was picking them up by their tails which is very painful for them, causing them to become aggressive. All my rats have very sweet temperments and wouldn't harm a fly. They're all very socialized and love being around people as well as kids from the neighborhood. Sara LOVES them! She sits on the couch with them and lets them crawl on her. They even groom her and she gives them kisses!
Lassie, I understand that. Although comparing a domestic rat to a wild rat is just like comparing a Golden Retriever to a wolf, things happen. Just like my brother, he hates dogs because he was attacked by a pittbull.

Wow, I got really off topic there! lol
