Default Does she look too thin?

So, before we left for our trip my dad pointed out that he thinks Miya looks too thin. She looks the same as she always has for me, but I see her everyday-though, even when we got back she looked the same-I thought maybe I could get some outside opinions on it. (Then decide whether I should start feeding her more or not, at her last vet visit*last month* she weighed 48/49lbs. She eats about 1-1/2 cup of food daily).

Here are pictures I took of her this morning:

ADD: My friend just told me how to tell whether she's overwight/underweight or fine by feeling my own hand, going by what she told me-Miya is fine.(Not overweight or underweight).

She doesn't look too thin to me, Ama. It is hard to tell from a photo though. I would have thought the vet would have said if he had any concerns.

She has a heavy coat. She doesn't have any 'love handles' over her hips. She looks just fine to me. The vet would have said something to you if she were under weight.

Thank you both for answering Her vet hasn't said anything and a few months back when she was going to them for physical therapy I asked the vet if she looked okay(for her size, since I was told it's important for them to be thin/fit when they have hip problems) and the vet replied that she's fine. So, guess there's nothing to worry about ^^;

It's just lately my dad keeps mentioning every time he sees her that he thinks she is too thin, I guess if he's still saying it when we take her in later this month for her adequan injection I can ask them again.

Ama. she looks fine to me. Not to thin at all. Sadly, so many dogs are over weight, and most people don't understand that a lean dog is just fine. She looks great to me!

That is true, and it's sad. I have read that some vets are hesitant to discuss their clients dogs being overweight because their clients react badly to it(deny it and start to become rude with the vet when they mention it).

I'm glad you all don't think she's too thin, that's a relief

Agree, based on those photos she looks about ideal weight to me.
