Default Knee surgery expense?

I have a 7 year old German Shepard who recently tore her CCL. She is in need of the surgery but it is sooo expensive! I'm trying everything I can to try to get the money together for her surgery but nothing is working. I applied for carecredit and they denied me. That was my last hope. I don't know what to do...she needs the surgery. Is there another place I can apply? Our credit is not that great unfortunately because of other medical bills from my children. Just thought I'd ask here.....hoping for some other ideas.....Thanks so much.......I'm so heartbroken I can't take her in now!!!!

Welcome cheyenne1, I'm sorry to hear about your dog's torn CCL. My dog has been through several cruciate surgeries and I know what a bite they can put in your budget. The links in the article below list organizations and resources that can help assist with the costs. You would need to contact each of them individually:

Financial Assistance for Dogs Needing Surgery | Dog Knee and Leg Injury, Canine Cruciate Ligament Recovery, TPLO Surgery, CCL Injury Diagnosis, Dog Knee Brace Information

Welcome cheyenne1 to the forum. I am so sorry to hear about your dog. JGLI gave you some really good sites to contact. Remember, if you don't hear back from them, keep trying. You may also want to contact local rescues... sometimes they with help out...

UGH! I'm still searching.....we are stuck. My husband makes too much for us to qualify for most and others are life-threatening only. I'm not giving up....just wish care credit would have approved us!!! So heartbreaking!

I am so sorry to hear about your plite.

JGLI posted some good sites. Have you contacted IMOM? It's an organization that funds surgeries for dogs through outside donations. I've seen them do wonders for dogs and cats on another forum. I am not sure how to qualify or anything but you can try.

Great ideas guys Hi Cheyenne! And welcome aboard to Df Sorry to hear of you girls problems can't be nice and you want to help but your hands are tied at the moment. Do you lve in the Uk? As there is the RSPCA and they will help you! They helped me over getting a low cost neutering for my girl as my vet wanted 165.00 the low cost one was only 82.00 all in If you don't live in the uk there are orgisations that can help too like a veternary college! May be. Good luck and hope you
get some where fast to help to help your girl!! What's her name?
And keep us updated on any progress made please

Have you spoke to the Dr doing the surgery?? Our vet is AWESOME and let's us pay when we can ----- after I think 30 or 60 days we start getting a service charge (just like a credit card) but if it wasn't for them doing this I don't know what we would of done --- Vinnie has had 2 major surgeries since November! Good Luck and keep us posted ----we are praying for you

Have you had any luck yet on finding some vet who will help you with a payment plan or put you on to a animal charity who could help you?

You can try asking for help on charitable organizations. They can help you with the expenses of the surgery.
