Back legs wobble and diarrhea

Hello,

Can someone please help me make sense of my poor pup's problems? I do not know what is wrong. His back legs are wobbly, but he does not yelp in pain when I press or move them. He does not even flich. He has not eaten in a day and he has had diarrhea. I don't know what these symptoms amount to. He was running in a creek yesterday and tripped over some rocks, but paired with the diarrhea it is just confusing. The trip was very minimal.

Could this be a sprain and just affected his belly as well? I don't know if he could be stressed and this has made his stool loose. If someone could help me out I would appreciate it.

Your vet is the only one qualified to help you out. All we can do is advise you to take him to the vet.

I do not know the age of your pup, but being in a rocky creek, it could be most anything. Get your vet for professional advice that will save or help your puppy. We cannot do that here, only guess. So sorry honey:)

He's throwing up today...we are taking him to the vet at 2. I'll keep everyone posted.

Good luck, I hope it doesn't turn out to be anything serious.

Fingers crossed - hope he hasn't prolapsed a disk or similar - please let us know what happens?

vet update

Ok so they took x-rays of his hips and his back. Everything came out fine on the hips and the back was fine too. The vet checked him all over and found that when he touched Riley's back that he fliched quite a bit. Also his neck was a little sore. We were happy that he had no slipped discs or serious issues. However, he does seem to be in a bit of pain from the back and is very wobbly still. He is on pain medications. The vomiting and the diarhea were a parasite and he is on an antibiotic. Poor dog, when it rains it pours.

I hope it is not the Wobbles.? I am glad however the vet found nothing in his diagnose so far. Let us hope he heals and has nothing but a strain that will heal.:)

Has anyone had a dog recover from a back sprain before? He's just having a lot of trouble getting up on hard floors and sometimes can not at all. We are going to put a carpet down on the floor so that he can get up easier. Does anyone have any experience with this...how long does the recovery take? Will massage help? Doggy chiropractor? Anything that you can think of. Please let me know. Thanks
