my local vets is 8miles away. over the years i've been round most of the vets in my local area (rual area 15mile radius)
the start out great when they just open then service seems to go down hill once they have enough business.....

anyhow guess I will keep pestering them till they get it sorted or I end up broke.

i agree with mrs rottie change your vet,you are paying them for a service and if you are not happy with it then you need to find alternative treatment! we use advocate for mange because it kills both types,

For all the world to me it sounds like what my vet calls "red mange mites" and that takes a different treatment. Scrapings should have been done to determine EXACTLY which type of mange--if it is mange indeed. My Hunter and KayCee both had that red mange mites, not bad, but bad enough, when they wre 10 weeks old and I had to give them a dose of --for the life of me I can't recall what it is called, but am thinking it is a cattle wormer-- every day for like 60 days. They were fine after that, no mites found since and this was 6 1/2 years ago.
