Adopting just one Greyhound may not change the world... But I'm certain the world will change for that one Greyhound.

Funny. I had just started putting the toilet paper back on the roll because my youngest son was a "drag the toilet paper through the house" kind of toddler and grew out of that. Then along comes Max and he turns out to be even worse than my son. I keep in on a cabinet that surrounds the back of the toilet and Max actually leans up there and steals it to eat it.

Just got a really good one. I learned it is possible to go into a people store and come out with what you went in for and only that. It is not possible to go into the pet store and come out with only what you went in for.

Getting out of bed is worth it every time if there is a wet nose, big eyes, and furry face waiting for you on the end of the bed.

Time spent outside with my dog is better than time spent inside

Watch less TV- go on more walks

Take care of your dogs teeth before its too late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (More learned from my dogs old owners than my dog himself)

If I die tomorrow, I know my life had meaning because of my dogs.

Friends who like my dog are (and should be) invited more often.

A good diet does make a difference!

There is always plenty of love and affection to go around.

Some risks are worth taking if the reward is great enough.

Some rules in life are meant to be followed ... some to be broken. Life's too short not to put some things to that test.

Some things you have to try two or three or even more times before you make your final decision on whether or not it was worth the journey.

Boy, isn't that the truth! Corollary: If I think I'm going to hurry through the supermarket and come home with nothing for the cat, I'd better think again. When I get home I get this "What did you bring me?" look.

That being the first one up the stairs is way more fun (a little healthy competition is good).

The proper reproachful look will stop someone from playing with your lips, forgetting about your dinner, or putting ugly boots on your feet.

Don't fence me in.

Don't eat anything that your ancestors wouldn't recognize.

Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there.

A little whining goes a long way.

Don't stress too much about having a clean house or inviting people over. Always greet your friends like you haven't seen them in a year.

Run because it feels good and your body can carry you, not because you're worried about losing weight or upping your cardio. Play.

...I'm sure there's more.
