Default 2 sets of teeth!

I purchased a cavalier pup when he was eight weeks old and now he is 4 months and I noticed he hasn't lost his baby teeth so he has his baby teeth and his new teeth, only the front four are like this what should I do?

I would take him to the vet it is common for smaller breeds to retain their baby teeth occasionaly. The vet may want to pull them out at the same time as you neuter him or may pull them now, depends on the situation.

They are the canines, dont worry for a while. In my breed the baby teeth dont come out until the pup is 6mths, try giving the first ones a little wriggle to see if they are loosening yet.

Wetting and freezing wash rags or rope toys and letting the puppy chew on it may help him to lose the teeth on his own too. >^^;<

Yeah Zoe had retained her baby teeth as well, even when she was just over 1 yr. So when we went to spay her, the vet pulled them out at the same time. It's not a huge deal, I don't think. Try what everyone said. If that doesn't work out, get the vet to do it the same time as they neuter him

thanks everyone for you input, I gave his teeth a wiggle and they are getting looser, so I am hoping he will lose them himself, but I will try some of your suggestions.............thanks toni
