Default Hey guys!

How have you all been doing? My life has been so/so lately. My dad passed away in October,we also lost Sydney(family dog) last year as well. So that was rough. My mom and I are now living in an apartment with Zebrehia, Sho and Miya.

Miya has been doing great, she's calmed down a lot in the past couple of years.

I've also been grooming dogs for the past year and a half. I've been in training until just recently and now I'm an "official" dog groomer. I thought I'd share a few photos of the grooms I've done. One thing I've learned over the time I've been a groomer is that there is a lot of pelted dogs that come in that have been with their owners for a long time. It makes me sad every time but it always makes me happy to see how relieved the dogs are when they're shaved down.

Anyway, I hope everyone has been good!!

I am sorry about your losses.
I like the Scotty picture the best. He/she is so cute.
I prefer to have short hair dogs Less upkeep.

I was sorry to read about your family's loss on FB and I hope you are all doing well. I don't think I would be a very successful groomer, I think I would get in a lot of trouble telling off owners who have neglected their dogs as well as those with unrealistic expectations.

Hi. Like you I don't get to any of the forums I belong to very often We took a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey last Aug. Things were pretty thought around here for a while, and still not back to normal. I had a mild stroke on Dec. 9, and then went into the hospital Dec.27 with pneumonia and got out on the 5thof Jan. They pushed so much steroids in me while I was in there it screwed up my blood sugar (I am diabetic) and my blood pressure (which is usually low, but went up off the charts), and dropped my kidney function to very low state 3--I am normally middle stage 3 failure. Takes a LONG time to get over that at my age.

And this winter was the coldest we have had in the 30 years we have lived here on the Texas coast. Just not been good. Oh, my vision is very poor also due to diabetes.

Those dogs you groomed look very nice. I am sure you will customers who never like the job you do. Recently on my golden retriever forum a lady came on and she was almost in tears. She had taken her golden in for a grooming and the groomer asked what else was in the dog other than golden, The lady had the papers, saw the parents, etc and she said the dog was full golden and the groom told her no it wasn't--it had a little white on it's front paws and had wave fur on chest. We all assured the lady that her dog was normal--and many of us posted pictures of our goldens with curly or wavy fur on chest, neck and even rear, plus several of us had goldens with some white on their feet. It disqualifies for showing them, but doesn't mean they are not full goldens. That was not the groom I would want to use, I can tell you. Apparently she knew nothing about godlens.
