Default Rascal Escaped!

From our back yard The back fence is somewhat rotted along the bottom of the rental in back. Hubby thought he had fixed it temporarily from our side.
I guess not.
So I got my walking stick and gimped over there, rang the doorbell and asked if there was a beagle in their back yard. Thank goodness they were home. Their back yard is fenced.
Hubby got home later and went over there for a better fix.
They have a cat and I bet Rascal had some yummy cat cookie

Dog escaping is one of my worst nightmares! I'm glad you got her safely home and that she didn't go too far!

Oh my, I'm so glad Rascal was in someone's back yard and not the road. The last time one of my dogs got away he was hit by a car. And even though Lucy is 10 years old she finally got a microchip this summer. I'm so glad Rascal is safe!

Our yard is pie slice shaped and the entire back yard of Linda and 1/2 of the yard of Mark & Kim are against our back yard. Linda fostered and would have as many as a dozen dogs there. She would take dogs that nobody wanted or would want for one reason or another. Mostly were the smaller terrier size. She had one she called Bubble Head that had the head and body and color and shape, etc of a German Shepherd, but the legs of a Basset. Really weird looking. Anyway, over the years many have died or she did manage to find homes. However, during those years some of them scratched and tore and clawed at the fence so much they actually chewed off as much as 6" in spots. She got strips of plywood and nailed it all around the fence and we made trenches and pour cement to keep them out of our yard. Didn't want strange do do in our yard. Plus, we worried ours might get out if the hole was big enough, or perhaps they would dig some theirselves. Always worried about that. Gla you little guy was safe and sound.
