It's not an area people walk in. I walked up and down my street my entire life and they prefer to use the side walk. As for the property I live on, I actually don't care. Nor does my mother :/ I actually walked them around my own house before taking them to the street, but then our neighborhood started to fine us. After that they continued to fine us even if I came back out after walking my dogs to pick it up. It's hard for me to empathize when there's a lot of litter on the same street and other dog walkers who do the same that she doesn't harass. (I have seen left over burritos, chicken bones the plastic container for cup cakes, cupcake paper holders ect, no one seems to care about those either) Quote:

![]() Toootie, welcome to the Forum! Sorry, but I have to agree with most of the posts here. You really need to clean up their poo. We have leash laws where I live, and you must clean up after your dogs. I have seen people clean up the poo, and then drop it in a neighbors trash can. No one seems to care, as long as the poo gets picked up. From my point of view, their is nothing worse that stepping in poo on my way to work, because someone decided not to pick up the poo, and let their dog go right where one of my cars is parked on the street. It is simply a matter of respect for others, not to mention the health issues. It's not really about what the neighborhood is already like. Every person makes a difference.

![]() I'll echo what the others have said here, pick up your dog's poop. just because a neighborhood is littered with garbage and just because your dog's lack leash manners doesn't mean you're entitled to do nothing. first, it's disgusting. second, it's disrespectful to your neighbors and third, it's lazy, pure and simple.
i've had plenty of instances at one of the dog parks in town where i've stepped in crap because the owner was too lazy to pick it up. conversely, it really p*sses me off when someone's dog craps in my yard. why? because I end up having to pick it up. you're not doing anyone any favors by looking the other way. |

![]() I wear a fanny pack with the leash handle through the belt part. I have a weak side too. That way I can't drop the leash. when I bend down to pick up the poop. I don't like stepping in poop either.
![]() Plus it's the law here you are supposed to pick it up. Be a good dog walker. Pick up the dogs poop. techie

![]() Please pick up the poop! It's your responsibility as a dog walker.. I live in a city where many people litter, don't pick up poo, break glass bottles and leave it on the side walk. Take pride in your city and clean up after yourself and your dog's... This post really made me think "huh"? I have 2 large dogs one a pup who pulls (he's getting much better with training). I have fibromyalsia which makes me weak, off balance etc.. If I can do it so can you.

![]() Is there something you can tie them to, such as a lamp post?

![]() Ziiven,
Take them home with you! Someone in my neighborhood was packaging the poop up and leaving it there! The bags can be tied to the leash if you don't want to carry them that close. techie

![]() Ew. Clean up your dog's poop... tie it in a bag and throw it in the nearest trash can/dumpster.

![]() While it's not a bad idea! It will never beat a good solid, reliable Sit/Wait I know the OP has 2 dogs but it's still trainable to get both to Sit/Wait. My dog's stubborn believe you me but I only have to say Sit/Wait and the command is complied with and she doesn't move until I have for Eg: Tied my laces up and given her a cue to go and this is off leash too
