Question Blowing on dogs

Why is it that when you take your dog in the car, he sticks his head out the window and lets the wind blow on him, but when you blow on his muzzle he gets mad at you? I mean, when I blow on my dog she turns around and gives me "the evil eye"! If looks could kill... My dog is wierd anyway. Does your dog hate blowing too? All I have to do is blow into air and she'll get mad. I don't even have to blow on her, just blowing into the air!
Whee-woo! I think she's from the moon... LOL.
Looking for answers ony alien dog...

Yep I think I know what you mean, mine loves sticking his head out the car window too. However we tried drying him with a hair dryer after he went swimming one day and he did not like it at all!!

I don't think any animal likes it when you blow on them. My gerbils never liked it either. But not all dogs like sticking their heads out the window. Zircie will not do it but Sophia will.

LOL well, our dogs are different! But it really is silly of dogs not liking blowing... like what skunkstripe said, most animals hate it. One of my cats couldn't care less, she just puts her ears back. Oh, and that cat also puts her ears back when she walks under a air vent in my house! LOL! My wierd little doggy and my wierd little kitty get along real well.
You can see why...

I have never blown on any of my dogs faces because........I want to keep my face lol. Though Silver loves to smell my breath after I eat...Nosy girl lol.

Reason I don't blow on my dogs face is this lovely story. A good friend of mine as a teenager had a Rottweiler named Kodi. And she used to always blow in his face because she thought it was funny how it would make him sneeze and shake his head. Well one day while I was at her place visiting she playfully blew in his face. And Kodi got annoyed one last time. Only this time he hopped up and aggressively bit her in the face! She had to go to the ER and get stitches and still has scars from that day because of her stupidity. Her parents kept Kodi because he was just reacting after being pushed to the edge. He was not an aggressive dog and he still slept next to my friends bed after the event.

This is not the only case of this happening that I have witnessed. I was at a party once and a guy blew on his JRTs face and got a good hard bite on the nose that drew blood. Once again a friendly dog that didn't want his face to be blown on so he reacted.

Im definately not one to blow on a dogs face lol.

Back to the original question im not sure why some dogs like to stick their heads out car windows. But also hate their faces to be blown on lol.

I never blow on the dachies. The Borzois just love to blow on me,and they don't mind agentle blow in return.

I would never let them have their heads out of the car window, as with the length of their noses it could be disastrous if a car passing came too close. Plenty of air getting to them in the car and I also have a cage fan, so fortunately no need for heads out of windows. I also think this can cause eye problems in some dogs.

I blow on my puppies before the eyes are even open, part of the training I expose them to for preparation of new homes.

Blowing softly into a dogs face, mine like it. If you puff hard, it might frighten or startle a dog to bite or be defenseive to it? If you talk gentley and blow into the dogs face, Indians do this to help train wild horses they broke to ride, dogs learn to love it.
