My Dalmation/Lab is Teaka. Her previous owners named her. It's Japanese for "dirty spots".
My Chihuahua/Min Pin is Dido. She came from a litter of 4 (3 females, 1 male). My Mom got one of the females before we got Dido. When she was deciding on a name for hers, she thought of Lilo, Dido & Jewel. She finally decided on Lilo since she loves the movie Lilo & Stitch. When I got my dog, I decided on Dido. Funniest part of the story is that the lady who got the last female of the litter named her Jewel. I've had 4 ferrets as well, and we kept a tradition of names that started with "f": Flower - My first ferret, a male, named after the skunk in Bambi. Faylene - A female ferret, named after Bambi's girlfriend (I think it was spelled Faline in the movie, but I didn't like it that way) Fozzie - A male ferret, named after the Muppet character Feivel - My last male ferret, named after the cartoon character (Feivel Goes West, etc)
