we have already tried 3 times!!! my husband said that if we were to have a dog it would have to be a big dog and this is the reason why i couldn't cope with them. i really wanted to have a little Yorkshire terrier. (quite a difference from a boarder collie that we had and a labrador and a german shepard)
do you think its too late for us to try again but with something i want? ( as i'm the one at home to look after them)
your advice would be greatly appreciated

You did't mention what happened those three times?

My husband wanted a big dog too, He never has time for our lab,we also have a cairn terrier now guess who is daddy's baby!! guess who cares for them both! What happened to the three dogs you had? why didn't it work? It really isn't always about the size of the the dog. Even little dogs are alot of work and responsibility. Many people get dogs with the wrong expectations and without knowledge and end up being disapppointed, not to mention the sad result for the dog.Guys want a dog that looks cool, or makes them look cool. which is fine women want little cutie pies!! But they are animals not humans, they are a gift, a living, breathing life. They need love, respect, care and to be taught just as a child. It is so sad how our society just throws them away as if there life is worthless. please, this is not directed to you personally!!!! just if you decide to get another,I would suggest reading Ceasar Millans' book first!! Ceasars way!! THIS WILL TRULY HELP YOU UNDERSTAND DOGS MUCH BETTER!!GOOD LUCK!!
