Default Coconuts are these ok??

Hi I heard off some one who watched a tv programme where this woman who had a staffy she would give a coconut it would take her dog nearly 2 hrs to get the hair off the coconut and eventualy the staffy got through the husk and drank the milk. Has any one on here ever gave their dog a coconut to keep them good? ATB

Coconuts are a great toy as they float and the fiber keeps their teeth sparckly clean!.Priska loved them!.
Here is a video of her:

Nice video!!

Is it safe to assume that it would be an outside toy only...

That looks like an awful mess of fibres after she was finished with it and I can't help but wonder about the runny milk inside.

Does she get to eat the coconut meat inside or do you grab it and keep the good stuff for yourself...

That looks like a lot of work, Priska certainly kept at it :-) Did she manage to chew up the whole thing?

Like all hard toys, you need to be careful with the teeth and you dont want the dog to eat the fiber!.This is a toy,to give, undersurpervision!.
Yes,it makes a mess and if you get it,in yr legs,it HURTS!.Living in Florida, you find them, all over the place!.

Oh my what a wonderful video of Priska destroying the coconut! She was obviously having a blast! It's hard to think of coconuts as something that you find lying around on the sidewalk the way you find apples all over the place up here in the frozen north.

Did Priska care about the coconut flesh or just tear up the woody outside of that thing?

Does it matter if it's carried by a European Swallow, or an African Swallow?
