Default Average length of dog walk?

We take our dogs out for around 1 hour each day for excericse.

For a Peke and Chow, it may be overkill. How long do you take yours out for?

Were suppose walk our dogs? J/k, lol. I don't walk my dog b/c last time I did he ran away and pissed me off. My mom only takes our dogs Charlie and Bubbles out, my other dog(James) stays in the backyard since he goes out of controll. Good thing we have a big backyard.

We usually take our for two 20-30 minute walks a day if she doesn't otherwise get some serious running time. We have a nice dog park about five minutes from home, and one of our good friends has a pup and a fenced in yard. We prefer those options over walking, but walking does the trick when the other options are available/convenient.

Well, when my Neighbor's are gone, I usually take their dog to the lake and back, about 3/4 of a mile round trip.. Though It does depend on the type of dog.

Ive got an Australian Kelpie and he is a cattle dog and needs about 5 to 10 kms a day to keep him happy, even then he wants more, Ive seen him move about 100 cows 35 kms to another farm when he was younger. They will keep going till they drop dead, you have to tie them up on a farm to stop them from running too much, they need a rest every now and then.

We take our dogs horseback riding, they run along side or up ahead of the horse.

In the winter it can be too cold for them here even with their coats on. So on average when it is cold here they get out twice to three times a day and for about 10-20 minutes each time. BUT when it warms they are out a lot longer. If is it really cold they do not want to go outside, they have to be took out . LOL

In the summer they get at least 2 hours outside everyday if not longer. They love to run so the horseback riding is great for them. Jenna even likes to try and race the horses and the horses like it too. LOL !

Dobes are very high energy dogs so they need lots of excerise. They actually will demand it.

Default Walks

I have a 5yr Old Rotti

I take him about 30-45mins each day.

Anyone know the standard of exercise time? My ex had 2 staffs and he took them out 3 times a day for about 30-40mins
