Default Dog won't play...

no matter what the toy, he doesnt want to play with it...plush, ball, whatever...sometimes he'll fetch a stick, but he wants me to chase him all around to get it. funny, but shouldn't he be playing with more toys?

not all dogs like to play, mine wont even look or think twice about any kind of toy, (i have tried everything) the only "toy" i have is a molecuball its a treat ball that you put dogfood into and they have to roll it around to get the treats out, but that it they dont chew things, they dont play fetch and they dont play tug, im rather dissapointed in them lol

My min schnauzer also wouldn't play with toys or fetch. Her only game was after a bath she ran around the house like crazy, buzzy me as close as she could get and my trying to tag her on her butt.

But she too knew how to get into things. The worst was a box ready to send to Iraq to my son, all packed and on the dining room table, just needed tape to seal it. She got a carton of dipping chocolate out, ate most of it, and had the rest all over the white carpet! (And this was a diabetic dog!) Fortunately, it was more corn syrup than chocolate, but she paid by sending her bg ssky high.

Max plays tug nicely, and almost brings the toys I throw back to me. For tug, we have rules. He must "give it" upon command or the game stops. Yesterday he played tug with his neighbor buddy. They had a BLAST.

Mine will occasional play fetch, but on her terms for only a few seconds, she would rather play tug for a minute or two, but she is a Pyrenean mountain dog and they are naturally stubborn.

The worst she stole was a roast beef joint in the kitchen on the counter top, she did a good job of looking guilty.
