Default Lucy's Advanced Standard Run

https://youtu.be/tZul0TC8-Lw We did not get a Q because I sent her to hard and she went out and through the tunnel instead of over the A-frame but a good run otherwise. We had eleven classes on the weekend and managed to never go off-course in any of them although we always seemed to make one mistake in each of them. This was not an off-course but a handing error.

Looking forward to their April trial, maybe the snow will be gone by then. Poured rain all day yesterday which made my shelter that I store things in, collapse. I parked my Van outside the shelter I use for it just in case. Usually I can knock the snow off the roof but it got so deep alongside it that there was no place for the snow to go.

I don't know how you remember all the twists and turns you have to make! I would get very lost each time

I am with you. I watch these on TV sometimes and wonder how in the world the people know where to go. I would be going thru a tunnel when I should be going over bars, etc. It is almost like a maze to me. And the way the dog do not hesititate no matter amazes me also.

They give you printouts for each of the courses so you can study them before the class. Then you have a chance to walk the course before it starts but even then everyone gets lost at some time no matter how experienced you are. The obstacles are numbered but you usually do not have time to look for numbers but it does help if you get lost but usually means you lose too much time.

The method that has worked the best for me is to divide up the course into three or four sections, then try and remember it in sections instead of individual obstacles. That does not always work as last year I managed to completely miss one section, all of a sudden realized I had missed a circle but it was too late by then.

And you are supposed to remember that while you are running and directing your dog? Wow...I think I'd be better off handing the map to my dog and having her figure it out
I am impressed with eleven runs and then coping with the snow as well.
