Our local Agility trial
The trial put on by our Agility club is this weekend. We have a very small club, only six members and put on one trial a year. Today we have to load up all the equipment and take it to the Fairgrounds and set up for the trial.

This year we are having a fun Tunnelers class on Friday night, then the regular AAC trial on Saturday and Sunday so it is going to be a busy time and we have a huge entry this year.

It will be my first trial since I had my leg operated on so we will have to see how it goes. I am just going to compete with Lucy this time, the tunnelers on Friday night, three classes on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Had the tunnelers class tonight. Unfortunately the first dog on the course peed when he came out of the second tunnel. Even though they cleaned it up several dogs stopped to sniff and Lucy was one of them. She carried on when I called her and completed the course perfectly but lost out on time.

My sister's Rat Terrier ran second to a Duck Toller in the small dog group. They had one class for the small dogs and one for the larger dogs. It was lots of fun, now an early morning tomorrow even though my first class is not till after nine.

So far my leg is doing fine even though it is still swollen.

Evidently they didn't use enzymatic cleaner! Too bad. They should have measured the smelling time and deducted from the total time :D

Had some good runs at the trial yesterday but no Q's. We only had two classes today and Lucy did well in both. The Video attached is her Starter Standard Class which she got a Q in. She did take three tries in the weaves before she got them right but she is fast so was still 10 seconds under the allowed time. Real proud of her as her training has been a bit of hit and miss with my leg problems so know she will just get better all the time as she loves doing it.
