Default Kris' microchip

Finally got up to the Vet today to get the microchip put into Kris. I want to compete in Rally with her and did register her with Caro Rally but they only have a few trials a year in our area.

I did not get papers with Kris as I was going to get her spayed and just compete in Agility so did not need papers. Now I have filled out the forms and got everything in order to get her a PEN number with CKC. (Performance Number) as they hold a lot of Rally trials and could also compete in their CKC Agility if I wanted to.

Not doing much of anything with her right now with this 35 degree weather. (100F)

Does the CKC allow mixed breeds and purebred dogs to compete together in agility? I think "not doing much of anything right now" is probably a very good idea, not only for the heat, but you just had surgery :-)

I honestly do not know too much about the CKC other than unregistered purebreds and mixed breed dogs can now compete. Will have to ask but as far as I know they compete together but not sure. When we showed our dogs in conformation it was years ago and of course, anything that was not purebred and registered could not compete then. I know they have slightly different rules for Rally and Agility than some other places like Caro and AAC Agility.

Will be anxious to see how Chris does when it's time for the competitions. We're not doing much here either due to the heat and humidity. Then when it rains, it does cool things off a tiny bit, but rains so much we're back to mud...Yuck!

Our horrible heat finally broke! I never thought I would say 90 degrees F felt 'cool'

I wish our heat wave would go away. There are almost 200 forest fires right now so we could sure use some rain, send some our way. It has been going up to 35C the last few weeks. (100F). Nice in the mornings when it is only about 60F, then the dogs come inside where it is cool till the evenings, just sleep all day.
