Default Preferred heights in dog agility?

So i have one dog that jumps 20 inches in AKC. Awesome agility dog. But then I have another mutt that is 24 inches tall but HATES jumping high! He has so much drive and speed! I think he is ready to compete but I was wondering if he would be allowed to jump 16 instead of 24 in AKC preferred?

I don't know anything about agility. One of our members may be along soon to answer your question.

You need to read up on official regulations, and if you believe your dog can be allowed an exception or an adjustment to the standard rules, the only way to find out is to contact AKC directly. Here are the regulations.

I don't know the AKC rules but in AAC in Canada you can compete at a lower level with your dog in a Specials class and I think AKC has something similar.
