Default Does anyone show? Newbie here!

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone here regularly shows their dogs in conformation?
If so, would you mind sharing some educational resources, regarding structure, movement, angulation...etc?

I'm trying to learn everything I can, as I will be (hopefully)stepping into the ring next year. I know the basics, but would like to go more in depth....

Welcome to the forum. Can't help with dog showing, but am sure there is someone in the forum who can.

Welcome! I'd suggest you contact the parent club for the breed you're interested in, you can even join the club and search for a mentor through the club(plus they should have information on showing for the breed)

If you've purchased/are going to purchase a puppy from a breeder(who will most likely be a member of the parent club) they should be happy to assisst you/answer any questions you have/start you on the right foot. They will also be helping in deciding which puppy looks like they'd be good for showing. Let the breeder know youre interested in showing.

Is the breeder of your puppy close?
If so they should beable to help you. They can tell you if the dog is a show prospect
Go to a few dog shows and watch the breed you have
and ask questions .also join a club the members should be happy to help you.
I showed Australian Shepherds for 20 plus years .
When buying your dog did you buy a show quality or pet?
