Default Lucy

Had a drop-in Agility practice on Saturday and one more next Saturday. I just took Lucy as she has not done anything since the 9th of Feb. The first time I tried to send her through the tunnel which was under the dog walk, she jumped up on the tunnel, up on the dog walk, then carried on to do a perfect 2o2o and looked so proud of herself.

Got that straightened out the next time. What we are doing is setting up three groups of obstacles, doing each section a few times, then combining them all into a long run. I did not do the long run with Lucy as figured what we had done was enough.

Our Instructor said someone was going to start up Rally classes about an hour from where we live so I am looking into that as I have always thought Rally looked so interesting to do. Lucy has gone through one session of Obedience when she was six months old so will have to do some practicing with her to remind her what to do since I have just been doing Agility since.

I am going to start Rally classes with Lucy. They start on the 15th but I will have to miss the first one because I am going to be away with my horse that week but will be able to attend the next four lessons. I wish Kris was a little older but at least will know how to do it by the time she is old enough.

I have been interested in Rally after watching a lot of it on Youtube but this is the first chance to learn more about it. It is about an hour's drive away but several of us in this area will be going so can probably all go together. Our Agility instructor is taking one of her dogs and knows the trainer so I am sure it will be well taught.
