What kind of exercise, sport or games you play with your dog to keep s/he entertained?

Squirrels!!

When they were younger I put up a bird feeder. Two pointing dogs stuck on point just inches away from fluttering birds going in and out of the feeder was good entertainment for a while.

But unfortunately they did lose intrest in the tweety birds after a while.

Squirrels have become the high value entertainment now. I have a freind that lives in the suburbs and I take them there to visit. Those city squirrels know how to torment a dog and I'm pretty sure they enjoy doing it.

I have some inexpensive agility pieces we work with in the back yard. There is a lady nearby who has a whole lot of elaborate agility equipment and I just recently found out that she holds classes. From what I understand the classes are not really training sessions, in other words, she doesn't train people or dogs while they're using the equipment, it's more like a dog and people playdate. She charges a fee although I can't remember what it is. I was thinking of taking Frodo there but I don't want to mess up any training we do with our trainer or confuse him in any way. I think the socialization would be good for him.
In the winter, if we get enough snow, I cross country ski with him on a harness and ski-jor lead. I'm not very good at it but he loves it.

Love the videos. My favorite one is Otis climbs a tree. That was pretty cute!

Fight with dad over the horseball, let dad have it when he gets assertive and then he'll throw it, take dad for walks to get the mail, take dad to the dog park, take dad on those trails that I don't have to tie him to a leash on, bring back the sticks, dad drops in the water, let dad play with that green round thing on the bed until he gets tired and turns the light off.
Oh and also drive dad nuts...it keeps him on his toes and is good for his mental stimulation.
