Default Katie starts her show career with a BANG!

Today Katie went Gr 1 in a large and competitive Working Group at the Piedmont Kennel Club's Cabin Fever Match.

We got a look in BIM, but the nod went to an (ADORABLE) baby Pug.

I had many comments on the super potential of this puppy. I am very pleased with her performance. I think people will hate to see us in the catalog a few months from now.

Grats!! It's always fun to start the puppies on their life long careers. You always wonder what the end will be. Aslan is nine and still a work in progress.

Thanks, everyone!

Pawz, Cali's people are very excited about your class. They are also a little discouraged from seeing Katie's accomplishments vs. their own. I keep telling them that it will all be fine. I am sure your instruction will be a huge benefit for them!

This puppy is quite unusual in how she has retained her beautiful proportions up to this age. I can see her head type dwindling, which is absolutely normal, and usually happens around 12 weeks instead of 19 weeks.

She may not see the ring again until after she is 6 months old, but we will keep working on perfecting her star quality, ring presence, and will keep moving forward with her education.
