Default 3rd Weekend of Trials

Again we had bad weather especially on Sunday when it poured all night and most of the day. Remmy did super good in his one Advanced Standard run easily under the time, his only mistake was I did not get him lined up right before the weaves and he missed his entrance. He was perfect in every other way so I was really pleased with him as I can see where we will eventually get a Q. His other classes were good too but as you have to have a completely clean run, no errors at all, we always seemed to do something wrong, mostly my handling, but we will get there as we are doing better all the time and Remmy is obviously enjoying every minute of it, even in the rain.

There was no chute in Kiska's Starters Jumpers so she had a clean run but too slow still but better than last time. Just needs a little more confidence but it is coming. She was not nearly as worried about all the people.

Have three weeks now before probably our last trial for the year. They run two rings, one inside and one outside which should be interesting. One day your classes are indoors, the next day they are outdoors.

So long as both of you are having fun and learning the honors will come eventually. I am glad Remmy had fun. This is hard to learn.

It's all about fun. Teams often reach a brick wall when they get to the upper levels where you can't have any mistakes. It takes a bit of time to get consistent enough to get past that. Give yourselves time, and you'll be doing great.

Thanks for the encouragement Agility9trainer. I looked at a few of the courses the past weekends and thought "there is no way I can do that" but I persevered and got close enough in some of them to keep me trying. As long as Remmy and I are having fun I will keep going. We only competed in six trials last year and probably just seven this year so it is not like we have been doing it for years. Remmy is just three next month so we have lots of time.
