Nothing! Oakley does best off leash, makes her listen to me more. I have a running leash for her. It clips around my waist. I hardly ever use it, i just walk her around my neighborhood.

i voted other because there was no choice for multiple things, i use a different thing for each dog, as the each have their own problems. i use the gentle leader on riken, the martingale on rippy and the flat nylon collar on sable.

I voted other because most times the boys are on their dogmatic headcollars and leashes and sometimes on an ordinary collar and lead.

Angel is on a dogmatic headcoller that I also attach to his half check coller & Misty on a half check coller both with very short metal leads with padded handle.

I also voted other.

I use a choke chain, but its not chain, it's fabric.

And I never actually use it to "choke" him, its just a reminder for him that when he feels it tighten, it means he's stepped too far ahead of me.

I don't like flat collars, he had one on him from the rescue site that just totally ruined the fur around his neck, and it took forever for the fur to come back in nicely.

I had to edit, I know in my avatar there is a metal choke chain around his neck, but that one is just one i used to slip on him when we went into the back yard because I was teaching him to go just in one area and I needed something around his neck to guide him to the correct spot if he started peeing in the wrong spot. At first I was just slipping on the cloth one before we'ld go out, but he always thought that meant we were going for a walk and I felt bad because after he would go to the bathroom he'ld be all excited and sitting at the gate and give me this look when I would tell him to come inside the house...lol

My horses I walk/run my dogs when I go riding. When we are not riding they get to run on our acreage.

When we did live in the city we used a flat collar.
