When I brought my pup home from the breeder, he was eating a diet I wasn't thrilled about so I knew before I got him that I would be changing his diet as soon as I could but I ended up changing "cold turkey" within a couple of days because of loose stools & things were normal within a few days thereafter.

You never know what they'll be intolerant unless you do testing (far too soon for you to consider that) of but when making a change, I'd definitely choose a different main ingredient to see if there is a noticeable change.
