There is so much contoversy over how much/how far to walk a puppy...and much of it depend on the kind of puppy you have, the environment for exercise, how often, etc.
According to the UK Kennel Club:
"Puppies need five minutes of exercise per month of age up to twice a day, according to the U.K. Kennel Club."
and that varies as well. You do need to be careful about over walking and over exercising with regard to joint and skeletal development.. as someone who has been through hip dysplasia with a dog I can tell you that is truly a factor to consider when deciding how much/how often.
