The Patterdale Terrier (strictly only recognised as a breed in the States, although there are thousands of them here in the UK and they originated from here!) is known for being dog aggressive and at times difficult to handle, due to its wilful and stubborn nature! They are also painfully vocal, not just barking but making all manner of noises to express their pleasure, distaste or excitement.

More unusually for a Patterdale, mine is nervous and uptight in a similar way to Mel's rough collie - she's hand shy, people aggressive, and crabby. She also has panic attacks and can get spooked very easily. Really not cool for a working terrier breed.
