Have you changed foods or could you be overfeeding him? Are the stools normal in color? Could he have gotten into something he shouldn't have?

Check with a phone call to your vet first before following any advice. But If everything else is normal, and he's drinking plenty of fresh water try not feeding him anything for at least 12 hours; 24 would be better, (depending on his age). Then feed him the fish and rice or chicken and rice mixture in very small amounts about every 4 hours for a day or two. You could also add a tablespoon of plain yogurt to the mixture.

If he quits drinking, the loose stools continue or worsen, or he becomes lethargic he should be seen by your vet right away.
